The SUEZ NWS comprises the subsidiaries and affiliates companies of SUEZ (ASIA) incorporated in the Greater China region and other Asia countries (collectively “SUEZ NWS”, “we”, “our”, “us”, “Group”). SUEZ NWS recognises the importance of protecting the privacy and the rights of individuals (“you” or “user(s)”) in relation to their personal information. This document is our privacy policy and it tells you how we collect and manage your personal information.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and is part of the Terms of Use of the suez-nws.com web site (“Sites”, each a “Site”). By using our service and/or provide us with your information, you authorize SUEZ NWS to collect, store and use your personal data as set out in this Privacy Policy.  If you have any question or concern about this Privacy Policy, please feel free to reach us through the contact information we provided below.  If you don’t accept this Privacy Policy, please do not provide us with any of your information or use our service.

What personal information do we collect and hold?

Each of SUEZ NWS entities collects and holds one or more of the following types of personal information through your use of below webpages and functions of the Sites:

  1. General personal information we might collect online or offline through contact (webpage URL) or other methods:
    • name;
    • email (including personal and/or company email);
    • Company name;
    • Job position or occupation;
    • Address (including family address and/or work address) and postal code;
    • Phone number (including mobile phone and/or landline);

    • Nationality
    • Personal photo;
    • Any account information (including bank account, social media account, company account, etc.)
    • any additional information relating to you that you provide to us directly through our websites or indirectly through use of our websites or online presence or through our representatives and/or staffs.
  2. Website analytics:

    We also collect following Information technology data from a third party or third parties for analyzing the webpage performance to enable our service improvement.

    • the user’s IP address or mobile device equipment number or equipment model;
    • the URL you forwarding to our site;
    • the datetime and duration you access the page;
    • the pages accessed and documents downloaded;
    • the software or application used by the user to access to our site;
    • the address of any website that linked the user directly to our site
  3. Log record:

    Information disclosed by personal users of the Group’s information technology systems (which are typical systems which store data) identifying the personal user in some way and collected in the ordinary course of the use of such systems by users. When a user visits the website a record of the user’s visit is made and the following types of information may be recorded:

    • the user’s IP address or mobile device equipment number or equipment model;
    • the user’s top level domain level, (e.g., .com, .gov, etc.) if have;
    • the date, time of the user’s visit;
    • the details of the software used by the user to enable access to the site (their browser);
    • if the user emails us, the user’s email address and details of the software used to send the email and the path travelled by the email (as per all email messages).
  4. We may also collect some information that is not privacy or personal information because it does not identify you or anyone else. For example, we may collect anonymous answers to surveys or aggregated information about how users use our website.

For what purposes and how do we use your personal information?

We use the information we collect to provide, support and personalize our Sites and our service and to communicate with you about our Sites or service. The ways we do this include the following:

  1. to enrich editorial contents through the information we collected for the section of “website analytics” (as mentioned above).
  2. to provide and improve our Site’s functionality, including processing, storing and delivering your communications; providing customer service and support; responding to your inquiries and requests; ensuring back-up of our systems; and improving the security of our Sites;

  8. to enforce compliance with our Terms of Use and applicable law; to comply with our legal obligations; to prosecute or defend a lawsuit, arbitration or similar legal proceeding; and to respond to lawful requests by governmental authorities (for this purpose we will need to share your information with governmental authorities, courts or arbitration institutions, please refer to the below section of “To whom may we disclose your information?” for details.);
  9. to perform research and analysis for our business purposes, and we may need to analyze your information (for this purpose, we may also share your information with third party, please refer to the below section of “To whom may we disclose your information?” for details.);
  10. to update our records and keep your contact details up to date, and we may also communicate with you for this purpose, and you can at any time contact us and let us know if you do not want us to contact you, send you emails or give you calls; and
  11. to share your information with third party as set out in the below section of “To whom may we disclose our information?”.

Your personal information will not be sold or rented, and will not be shared or disclosed other than as described in this Privacy Policy. Unless you require us to delete your personal information through contacting us by the contact information we provided below, we will retain your personal information for the period necessary to perform the tasks for which the information was obtained or until permitted by law.

 

How do we collect your personal information?

We collect your personal information directly from you where it is reasonable or practicable to do so, such as, for example, in ways including:

  • through your access and use of our website, when you submit a request via the contact form in our website, we will collect the information provided by you included in section of “General personal information we might collect online or offline through contact (webpage URL) or other methods” (as mentioned above);
  • during face to face conversations, phone call, email exchange or any other kinds of communication between you and our representatives and/or staffs, we will collect your information you provided through the communication;
  • when you complete an application or related paperwork, we will collect the information you provided to us in such application or related paperwork;
  • security cameras at our premises, we may record your images in the video taken by the security cameras; or

We may also collect your personal information from third parties for the information listed in the  section of “website analytics” (as mentioned above).

In some cases we may also collect your personal information through the use of cookies. When you access our website, we may send a “cookie” (which is a small summary file containing a unique ID number) to your computer. To whom may we disclose your information?

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • our employees, related bodies corporate (including subsidiaries or affiliates).  Please note that Suez NWS is a multinational corporation, our related entities may locate in different countries, and you may refer to the below section of “Do we disclose your personal information overseas?” for more details about information transferring overseas.
  • our third party service providers, agents, contractors or suppliers and their respective employees for the purposes of data analysis or researching for providing or improving our services, operation or maintenance of our website, database or our business, fulfilling requests by you, and to otherwise provide products and services to you including, without limitation, web hosting providers, IT systems administrators, mailing houses, couriers, payment processors, data entry suppliers, electronic network administrators, regulators and other government authorities (e.g. the various state environment protection and work health and safety agencies) and professional advisors such as accountants, solicitors, business advisors and consultants. We will enter into agreements with those third parties and require them to adopt proper measures to protect your information.  Please be aware that those third parties may be located overseas, and you may refer to the below section of “Do we disclose your personal information overseas?” for more details about information transferring overseas.
  • our business partners.  We may have business cooperation with our partners. In order to provide service to or improve our service under the business cooperation with our partners, we may have to share your information with our business partner.
  • government authorities, administration institutions, courts or arbitration institutions, when they require us to provide your information during investigation, hearing, litigation or arbitration, etc. based on laws and regulations
  • if we are acquired or merged by any third party, the acquiring party may have access to or obtain your information.

  • any organisation for any authorised purpose with your express consent.

We may combine or share any information that we collect from you with information collected by any of our related bodies corporate.

Do we transfer your personal information overseas?

We may disclose personal information to our related bodies corporate and third party suppliers located overseas for some of the purposes listed above. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipients of your personal information do not breach the privacy obligations relating to your personal information. We may disclose your personal information to entities located overseas, including the following:

  • our related bodies corporate located in France and our business units and related entities in Asia
  • our data hosting and other IT suppliers, located in Ireland.

If you use our service and provide us with your information, you acknowledge and agree that we may transfer and/or store your personal information overseas.  Please do not provide us with your personal information, if you don’t accept this term.

Security

We take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is protected from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Such measures include, but are not limited to, firewalls, intrusion monitoring and Secure Sockets Layers / Transport Security Layer (SSL/TSL) to encrypt and protect certain sensitive transmissions of information. We may hold your information in either electronic or hard copy form. Personal information is destroyed or de-identified when no longer needed or required to be held by law. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure and as our website is linked to the internet, and the internet is inherently insecure, we cannot provide any assurance regarding the security of transmission of information you communicate to us online. We also cannot guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the internet. We may decline your request if your request is illegal or will cause material adverse effect on anther user’s right.
